  • We are pleased to announce that the Society was one of the first winners of a prestigious grant from the Jewish New Media Innovation Fund (a collaboration of the Jim Joseph Foundation, Righteous Persons Foundation, and the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation.) Over 306 organizations applied and we were honored to be selected. The grant will enable us to build up our digital archive by creating a series of five “digital box-sets”, each exploring a different historical dimension of Jewish culture and music. Get ready for a flood of streaming music, intelligent history and archival footage and join the conversation by adding your own comments via Facebook and Twitter, and add tags.

For the technologically minded among you, these box sets will be developed for the open mobile web, iPhone and android. We plan to launch our first project in the Fall of 2011.
