A Johnny Mathis Homecoming

We’re bringing him back! The Idelsohn Society is proud to present Johnny Mathis, as he returns to his hometown of San Francisco next Thursday, February 4th, to receive special honors from the city for his contribution to music. Hosted at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which is currently showing the exhibit “Black Sabbath: A Secret Musical History of Black-Jewish Relations”, the event will feature a conversation with the legend about his life and career. The Idelsohn Society will also be present to discuss the exhibit, the album, and the history of Black and Jewish musical collaboration.
