Hadara Graubart of Tabletmag.com interviewed Arturo O’Farrill, who had this to say of the Idelsohn Socety’s latest CD release, Mazel Tov Mis Amigos: “The philosophy behind so much institutionalization is backwards: let’s preserve. That wasn’t the idea behind the creation of this album. It was: let’s progress a tradition.”
